About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how DNS Switcher: Quick Toggle ("the App"), developed by Mahesh Varma under the JEWEALITY organization, handles information when you use our Android application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to all users of the App globally and explains what data (if any) is accessed, how it is used, and your rights regarding your information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be completely transparent. The following data is never collected, accessed, transmitted, or stored by this app:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Device identifiers (IMEI, IMSI, serial number, advertising ID)
• Location data (GPS, IP geolocation, network location)
• Browsing history, DNS query history, or internet activity
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to our servers
• Contacts, camera, microphone, or storage data
• Financial or payment information

System Permissions Used

DNS Switcher requires the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS Android permission to modify the device's Private DNS configuration. This permission:

• Must be explicitly granted by you via ADB (Android Debug Bridge) or the Shizuku app — it is never auto-granted.
• Is used solely to change your device's Private DNS setting locally.
• Does not give the app access to your internet traffic, DNS queries, or browsing history.
• Does not transmit any data outside of your device.

All DNS changes are applied directly at the Android system level. The app does not act as a proxy or VPN and does not intercept any network traffic.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device using Android's DataStore (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device:

• Your DNS preference selection (e.g., Cloudflare, Google, custom)
• App settings such as haptic feedback preference
• Whether you have completed the onboarding flow
• Quick Settings tile configuration (unlock requirement preference)

Third-Party DNS Providers

DNS Switcher lets you connect to third-party DNS providers of your choosing. Please be aware:

• DNS providers (Cloudflare, Google, AdGuard, Quad9, OpenDNS, etc.) are independent services with their own privacy policies.
• JEWEALITY has no affiliation with, or control over, any third-party DNS provider.
• Your DNS queries are sent directly from your device to the DNS provider you choose — not through our servers.
• We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any DNS provider you choose to use.

Advertising & Analytics

DNS Switcher: Quick Toggle is a paid application. We do not include any form of advertising or analytics whatsoever:

• No Google AdMob or any other advertising SDK
• No Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar services
• No Facebook SDK, Adjust, AppsFlyer, or any attribution SDK
• No anonymous or aggregated usage telemetry

Your purchase of this app is our only source of revenue. We believe paid apps should respect your privacy completely.

Children's Privacy

DNS Switcher is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, this policy applies equally to all age groups.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Your Rights

Since DNS Switcher does not collect personal data, most data rights (access, deletion, portability) are inherently satisfied. However:

• You can clear all locally stored app data at any time via Android Settings → Apps → DNS Switcher → Storage → Clear Data.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored preferences instantly.
• You have the right to revoke the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission at any time via ADB.
